Nothing could be worse than getting spam from someone you know. I've realized though that Im almost grateful when the sender turns out to be my dad or mom. I've asked them for the longest time when they were getting e-mail addresses, especially Pa. Now that they can actually check their inbox unassissted, its just great! Chatting them up on YM is just as great. :) The next project will probably to teach them to upload photos on Flickr, or get them to keep a blog or something, or at least maintain an Amazon wishlist. Hehe.

Bruno Ist Tot!
Fugitive bear Bruno has been shot dead by hunters in the Bavarian Alps. The wild bear, dubbed Bruno by German media, crossed into the country from Italy in May. Authorities originally planned to capture the 100-kilogram animal alive and put it in a nature reserve after it was reported to have killed livestock, but it eluded the traps. Austrian officials finally gave permission to shoot down the animal over the weekend, fearing it may harm humans next.

Three bookings for one player, man, that's a whole new ballgame. Hehe. Way to go Poll! Congratulations are in order for the Socceroos. They were really hungry, I saw. Croatia was just as, but Poll was just too infuriated, I think. Maybe at a certain point in the game he realized that he's lost his job. Lotsa yellows this morning. Oh FIFA, whacha gonna do?

Lucky Negrense. Only people in the Philippines eager to put up a giant screen for a crowd raring to watch the Beautiful Game. By-invitation only, according to a Sun.Star article I read. So far no mention from other papers on similar gatherings in Manila.
